After we learned about them filing for two patents on safety technology, we knew we had to share the news.
Automotive technology is always changing and, recently, the transmission has been a focus of increasing fuel efficiency. It wasn't that long ago that the continuously variable transmission, or CVT, was implemented in many cars as a more efficient alternative to a true automatic, but Honda has some new plans. Recently they filed a patent for an 11-speed transmission with three clutches and it sounds exciting.
