Honda's program to reduce their environmental footprint inspires how they approach every aspect of how the company works. Their mission is to ensure "Blue Skies for Our Children," protecting the Earth for generations to come.

Honda has committed to voluntarily reduce their CO2 emissions by 50 percent by the year 2050 (compared to a baseline established in 2000), as part of the company's effort to reduce its environmental impact at every level – from design and manufacturing to sales and transportation.

Honda is proud to offer its most fuel-efficient lineup ever, and continues to search for ways to improve fuel economy:

  • The company is developing fuel-cell electric vehicles that offer long-range, zero-emission, all-electric driving. Fueled by hydrogen, the vehicles generate electricity on demand rather than drawing power from batteries, and refueling with hydrogen only takes a few minutes.
  • Battery electric vehicles, such as the Fit EV, use no gas and rely on rechargeable lithium batteries and electric motors to provide power to the wheels.
  • Hybrid vehicles rely on two power sources, offering stellar fuel economy and lower emissions than vehicles that run on traditional gasoline powertrains.

Honda engineers continue to dream up sustainability solutions for a world that is becoming smarter and ever more mobile. The company is also developing sustainability programs for dealerships, enabling them to slash their energy use and working towards a goal of operating with 100 percent renewable energy.

Our showroom at 4590 Stevens Creek Boulevard in San Jose proudly serves Honda drivers from the Fremont, Palo Alto and Sunnyvale areas.
