The Honda Passport has made a welcomed return to America, with the new version offering the rugged good looks that are the hallmarks of a modern SUV. Blessed with capability, durability, strong performance, and safety features, the 2019 Honda Passport is ideally suited to tackling every part of your daily driving experience in Silicon Valley.

Offered in Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite trim levels, the Honda Passport is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.

Last month, news broke that three Honda vehicles had earned top spots in the Edmunds.com "Best Family Cars of 2019" list. Considering that there were only winners in eight categories total, these awards acknowledge the fact that Honda is designing the vehicles that are ideally suited to today's families and their busy schedules.

Here are the three Honda vehicles to take top honors in their respective classes:

Freshly revamped for 2019, the Honda Pilot SUV offers local parents even more reason to consider it before all others when they're looking for a new SUV. After all, it boasts the safety features and up-to-date technologies you need, with the quality and handsome appearance you want. If you’re considering the Honda Pilot, then it only makes sense that you visit Honda of Stevens Creek first in your search, since we're your premier San Jose Honda dealer.

At Honda of Stevens Creek, we want you to be an informed vehicle owner. Most car owners prioritize certain maintenance tasks. We all know the oil needs to be changed on a regular basis. However, many people think a car only needs to be washed for cosmetic reasons.

An excessive amount of dirt on the vehicle can cause rusting and scratches. Dirty windows can obstruct your view of the road. Besides the automotive benefits, a dirty car is bad for your overall health. Cars are covered in germs.

Understanding how your vehicle functions is important because it can help you know when something is wrong. Your vehicle has hundreds of gaskets that work by sealing two or more surfaces so that gas and fluids don't leak. Your gaskets are made to withstand extreme temperatures and are long lasting, but they will eventually wear out. Replacing your gaskets is important because deteriorating gaskets can cause serious damage.

Most gaskets are made of multi-level steel, but they can also be made of rubber or copper. The most common kind of gasket is a head gasket.

No one likes dealing with motion sickness. Unfortunately, the condition can affect people on boats, cars, and planes. It has the potential to put a damper on your travel plans. Luckily, there are ways to treat it. We here at Honda of Stevens Creek want you to be comfortable during your travels, so here are some tips to keep in mind.

Whether you're driving through town or going on a cross-country trip, you can use your surroundings to help you feel a bit better. The first thing you should do is stare at a fixed item in the distance…

We at Honda of Stevens Creek want to help you be a confident driver everywhere you drive. Today, let's address that dash-indicator light that looks like a low-air tire with an exclamation point on its tread.

If you have recently noticed this light, you might wonder what it conveys. The light is your tire pressure monitoring system indicator. It connects to four tire pressure sensors. One sensor monitors each of your vehicle's tires. When this TPMS light illuminates, your car has a tire pressure problem.

Aside from all of the driving that you do in your vehicle each day, there are a number of habits that you may have which are leaving behind offensive odors in your vehicle. Whether you are smoking in your vehicle, eating or neglecting to clean up a mess, follow these tips to keep your vehicle clean and odor free.

• Make sure that the interior of your vehicle gets a good cleaning every couple of months. This should include vacuuming the interior, wiping down surfaces and cleaning out garbage.

The team at Honda of Stevens Creek wanted to make certain our customers understood everything about the vehicles they are considering buying. Here are a few of the differences between safety ratings in most new vehicles.

The NHTSA is considered to be a federal government organization. What this means is they use a standardized ratings method that is simple and easy for motorists to relate to. One star would rate poor in crash results, while a rating of five stars means this vehicle passed with no issues in the safety tests.

Rodents can cause serious damage to your vehicle. From chewing through wires and hoses to making their nest in an inconvenient location, rodents can be a nuisance for any car owner. Luckily our service center is specially trained to prevent rodents from being an issue.

At the service center, the technicians can assess your particular car's risk of rodent invasion and aid in installing countermeasures to keep the pests at bay. One tool you can find useful is rodent repellant tape, which has a very spicy coating that deters rodents from chewing on the wires.
